All of these skills and competencies which they portray can reveal the value of HR to drive organisational change and performance to achieve business success.

Our theme for 2012-2013 “HR: Driving Organisational Performance to achieve business success” is closely linked to these views as despite the challenges that businesses continue to face. there is strong evidence that the H.R. function is now playing a significant role in driving organisational performance. This theme will be reflected in the range of speakers and topics covered in the programme for 2012/2013.

Geraldine Grady
Chairperson CIPD Western Region
As incoming Chairperson I would like firstly to acknowledge and thank the Western Region Committee who continue to work tirelessly on a voluntary basis to provide the region with excellent events and speakers throughout the year.   At our recent AGM we were delighted that many new members joined our committee.  These members coupled with our current committee members, have provided a well-balanced and professional blend of capabilities and experience, from both the public and private sectors which we hope you will see reflected in this year’s events.

I would like to welcome and thank CPL who for the first time are sponsoring the brochure, launch and website and we look forward to a continued mutually beneficial partnership.   Furthermore, we extend a special thanks and appreciation to all our event sponsors, patrons and supporters both past and present, whose continuous support we require to continue to provide this resource and branding for the region.
