This is an opportunity for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is essential for HR Specialists in maintaining and upgrading CIPD Membership. It is open to all HR practitioners and business professionals nationwide (both members and non members of the CIPD). The weekend will consist of 3 seminars covering Employment Law topics relevant both in the public and private sector.

The all-inclusive fee includes two nights full accommodation, breakfasts, a gala dinner followed by entertainment on the Friday night, lunch on Saturday and a  buffet dinner on Saturday evening. This year we intend to focus on the topical issue of the employment law of industrial

relations. This session will start with a full understanding of the IR institutions, looking at how they deal with individual and group claims (separately) under the IR Acts, how to deal with such claims, including presenting to the Labour Court. The final seminar will consist of a full mock hearing to the Labour Court.

Full details of the three workshops will be circulated by email to everyone registered on our CIPD Western Region Database and will be advertised in People Focus Magazine.
